I arrived there in a very bad situation and Nico from the...

I arrived there in a very bad situation and Nico from the staff took me in charge directly. From there, I felt like I was part of the family. I loved the atmosphere, the facilities, the salsa class. Literally everything!

There is a building in renovation in front of it. Works are from 7am.

Very cool atmosphere, feels like a big family, everyone is...

Very cool atmosphere, feels like a big family, everyone is welcome, terasse, chill-out area and kitchen are very nice, definitely the best thing is the daily salsa class FOR FREE, the salsa teachers are lovely and everybody goes out dancing together after the lesson.

Train your volunteers better

It is a nice hostel, good location with all the potential to be a great one however the staff is disappointing and it is the major downside. Too many volunteers working there. Actually during our stay there were more volunteers in the hostel than guests. Volunteers are selfinvolved, interested only in dancing slasa on their own, they don’t know anything about the city, they can’t advise you on what to do because they haven’t been even in the city center couple of blocks away themselves. I find that surprising. I mean come on, if you get volunteers working for you, at least educate them about the city and surrondings so they can provide guests with information. That is their job! And all of them make you feel like you are a burdain to them and you should not be in the hostel. That goes for the argentinian guy - the manager as well. You don’t feel welcome. All guest felt that. Really pitty because it is a very nice building with spacious kitchen, nice facilities, with many terrances and a bar. The salsa teacher Sergio is great though.

The vibe of the hostel was great.

The vibe of the hostel was great. Free salsa lessons every night. Breakfast included but you make it. A nice hostel as well. Showers were okay and it was nice to have one ensuite

Great hostel!

Great hostel! Nice safe location, comfy beds, nice big kitchen, good breaky, clean rooms, hot water, friendly staff. Nice chilled vibe! Salsa every night was awesome with the opportunity to go out to a salsa bar after. If my visa wasn’t due to expire I’d have stayed a lot longer. Cali is amazing!

Wifi dropped out a couple of times, no bath mats in the bathrooms, but otherwise no complaints! Would definitely stay here again! :-)

Really everything..and I don't like dancing at all. On the first moment you get to know everyone.. they make sure you'll feel home..if it's the manager or the volunteers or the salsa teachers who staying in the place.. Excellent place..I've been in hundreds of hostels in my life. That's how you make hostel..that how you make atmosphere..shapo !

Great owner, good vibe... wrong bus info.

Location. Owner is fabulous, nice and friendly. When he organizes nights out, he makes sure people get there and back safely. He’s quick to act on anything that is lacking - (though he was rather in disbelief when I commented about the lack of hot water). The people are very inclusive. A good salsa atmosphere. The beds are great too, lots of space to chill. Great deco, great volunteers and great salsa lessons. I really like it here! I highly recommend to stay here.

The girl’s toilet was always a mess. Also, the toilet seat is broken, shower water doesn’t drain good in the girl’s toilet, no hot shower (apparently there is hot water but I only managed to get ONE hot shower out of the 8 that I had) and door broken (but will be fixed). Really, just use the common toilets. Wrong bus info given. Owner was trying to be really helpful but I was wrongly recommended a bus company that ended up causing me to suffer a 5 hours trip instead of 2.5 hours trip on the bus from Cali to Popayan. I checked around with some locals and hotels after that and that company is really one of the worst - really not sure how the recommendation was made. Take Tax Belakarao or Transipiales NOT Palmira Express. Save yourself some suffering.

I'll be back!

The best vibe is in La Sucursal.. Everyone in this hostel is incredibly nice. The place feels like home. And finally a good and clean hostel.. Almost every night there's a group that go out together. A lot of social areas and chill areas. Free salsa classes, super cheap private classes... But be careful, because if you stay in this hostel it's impossible to leave!

The hostel owner is great!

The hostel owner is great! Was really welcoming, remembered my name and way always on hand to help. Clean rooms, nice beds each with fan and light. Volunteers help it feel like a family. Free salsa lessons and good nights out fri and Saturday

Breakfast was a little bit disorganised and often ran out of milk
